1923 - Zadock is confronted by Sally McBride with her very obvious evidence of the Father's indiscretion, Zadock and Jack meet and Jack offers help for his situation.

Hattie tries to get ahead on book filing.

Zadock holds his Sunday service, meets with some of the miners from the sermon yesterday.  One mentions some sounds ("devil workings") he's heard in the mine.

Ezekiel Crow, logging boss, okays leave for Arthur, and allows him to take a work truck.

Tabs checks equipment.  Odysseus relaxes.

Arthur drives to the library and picks up Hattie.  Tabs has coffee nearby.  Arthur drives to Odysseus' office to collect him, then the church to pick up Zadock.

Party starts travel to Baker's Gap by truck.  Around 4PM, rail spur construction is spotted north of the road.  Odysseus takes time to study the camp, sees a mine at the end of a dirt road.

Party sets up camp on a flat in the road.  Tabs hears something in the distance, suggests a watch.

A pack of hexenwolves attacks, the party drives off one, kills another.  The remaining two decide it isn't worth it and leave.
